Are you a Bed and Breakfast or a hotel?

NO! This is just our vacation home that we offer as a rental when we are not using it. We live in California and this is our second home that we use while in the area visiting family. We do not have anyone on-site like a hotel or bed and breakfast and we do not serve any food. We are merely offering our beautiful home for rent to those coming to visit the Creation Museum.

Is the house or a room available for a certain date?

Please if at all possible check the online reservation system. If you call and leave a message remember we are in California and work full time so we probably won't get back to you until after 5pm Pacific time. If you check online and no rooms are showing as available for your dates then we are booked. We would love to have you stay in our home so let us know if you are flexible and we can see what dates we have that might work for your visit.

Can more than 2 people stay in the room?

Yes, if they are part of your immediate family then you can have more than 2 adults to a room. Just let us know who will be staying with you. Most of the time this will be children staying with their parents. We encourage guests with large families to stay together. If you request a cot or air mattress we charge $5 extra each per night.

Do you charge extra for children?

At this time we do not charge for those children staying with their immediate family. We have a limited number of cots and twin air matresses available at $5 a cot per night. Our cots come with all the needed bedding; we place them in your room, you are responsible for setting them up. You are more than welcome to bring your own sleeping bags to save on costs.

Is breakfast provided?

No, there are no meals provided but you are more than welcome to use the kitchen.

Are we able to use the pool and jacuzzi?

The pool and jacuzzi cannot be used at this time. We are not there full time to maintain them so we keep them covered. There is a new child-proof cover on the pool and a sturdy cover on the jacuzzi but please keep children away, we want to keep them safe.

Do you have discounts?

We do not offer discounts. The prices to rent our home are substantially discounted over what you will find in the area. We are trying to offer a more reasonable and Christian environment for those coming to visit the Creation Museum.

Can I rent the whole house?

Yes. If you check our online reservation system and all four rooms come up as available then the whole house can be rented. This works especially well if you have a large family or if a group of friends travel together. If you have a particular date in mind please check the online reservations. If all four rooms do not come up as available for your dates then please call us. If your dates are flexible we might be able to work something out. We can accomodate large groups up to a point, please contact us for further information.

Do you allow youth and church groups to stay at the house?

Yes, but you must rent the entire house. Due to only having 2 bathrooms we need to do this. We must give approval for your group to stay. The members of your group must be able to be respectful of a historic home. If there are mixed unmarried groups then there need to be chaperones and no boys and girls sleeping in the same rooms. There are no discounts for renting the entire house.

Do you have any rooms with a private bath?

No, all the rooms have a shared bathroom. There are no bathrooms in-between rooms.

Do you have rooms available for long term stays?

No, we do not do long term rentals. There are a number of extended stay hotels in the area that we can recommend for you.

What items are stocked in the kitchen?

We have cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and glasses. We don't provide any food or drink items other than coffee, tea and condiments for them. We have regular and decaffienated coffee stocked and a coffee maker for your enjoyment.

Do we have to bring our own sheets?

No, all beds have sheets and quilts provided. We also have sheets for our cots and air mattresses. If you use our cots and/or air mattresses they are $5 each per night.

Do you allow pets in your home?

No, we're sorry but we do not allow any pets in our home. We have a number of people staying with pet allergies so we cannot allow them in the house.

Do you allow smoking in your home?

NO! We do not allow smoking in our home or on our property. If you smoke then this is not the place for you to stay. There are ample hotels in the area that can accomodate smoking.
